Please join us on August 27th in Columbus, Ohio for “An Evening with The Tuohys”. This special event will be a unique opportunity to interact the with Tuohys, the real life family of the sensational blockbuster hit - The Blind Side. The Tuohys will share their story first hand and also how their lives have been forever changed by turning around. At the same time, they will be looking to raise awareness and much needed dollars that will stay in the Columbus community as well as support other Making it Happen Foundation projects. You can expect to laugh, cry and most importantly leave feeling encouraged and motivated to make a difference!

About the Tuohy Family

The Tuohy family’s life, as chronicled in Lewis’ New York Times number one best-seller The Blind Side, went on to become a record-breaking Hollywood blockbuster that earned more than $300 million at the box office and became the number-one grossing sports film in history surpassing Rocky and Remember the Titans. Please join us as they share the message that everyone has value and we can all make a difference!

Sean – Owns and operates 93 fast food restaurants and is in his 14th season as an NBA TV broadcaster for the Memphis Grizzlies. A sought after motivational speaker, Sean is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of The Isidore Newman School. He was a record-breaking basketball player at the University of Mississippi, better known as Ole Miss, and graduated with a degree in marketing. Sean co-authored with his wife Leigh Anne the New York Times best seller “In a Heartbeat.”

Leigh Anne - A motivational speaker, philanthropist, author and TV personality, Leigh Anne lives the message that we can all make a difference each and every day and leads her family in doing the same. She graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design and has done work for HGTV and Extreme Make Over Home Edition to name a few. Leigh Anne also starred in and was executive producer for Family Addition with Leigh Anne Tuohy on UP network. This spring she is releasing her latest book “Turn Around,” a 52 week devotional/call to action that will inspire readers to make a difference!

Collins – Co-Owner and Director of Marketing for Whimsy Cookie Company specializing in custom sugar cookies, Collins graduated from Ole Miss while holding leadership positions in the Student Alumni Council, Student Spirit Committee, Kappa Delta Sorority and was an Ole Miss Varsity Cheerleader. Collins is a motivational speaker and has appeared with her mom on several TV shows.

Michael – In 2009 he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens as a first-round draft pick. In 2013, Oher helped lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory. He then went on to play with the Tennessee Titans and is now with the Carolina Panthers! Michael played collegiate football at Ole Miss where he was a unanimous first team All-American. He authored the inspirational bestseller “I Beat the Odds.”

SJ –A junior at Loyola of Maryland, SJ is a journalism/marketing major who is daily reminded that he did not go to Ole Miss. In addition to playing D1 basketball at Loyola, he has been published in Huffington Post, writes a biweekly column for CampusSports.net, and helps with Marketing at Whimsy Cookie Company. SJ is active in programs that make a difference in the lives of others such as Boys and Girls Club, Big Brother Big Sister program to name a few.
