Matt Saunders has been with RGT Foods since January 2013 where he serves as Vice President. In this role, he is responsible for the growth strategy, daily operations and performance of RGT Foods twelve Taco Bells on the Florida Gulf Coast. Prior to his time as Vice President, Matt coordinated the development for all New Builds and Remodels within the Taco Bell and KFC brands. Matt met and exceeded RGT’s aggressive development and brand reimaged plans over his tenure and continues to drive high returns through effective strategies in project budgeting, construction management, and active collaboration with A&E resources.
Prior to joining RGT in 2013, Matt Saunders excelled in the Education and Coaching professions. He has coached football at the Collegiate and High School levels for 13 years. Under Matt’s direction, his teams have amassed five state championships at the high school level and he assisted in landing a top 25 recruiting class while serving on the football coaching staff at The University of Mississippi.
Matt received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Memphis (03’) and his Master’s degree from The University of Mississippi (07’). He resides in Memphis, TN with his wife Katie, who works at The University of Memphis as a Global Student Advocate in the U of M Global Program. Matt and Katie are the proud parents to two young boys, Tressel and Courtland.
