Pete Pranica

TV Broadcaster for Memphis Grizzlies

Pete Pranica, currently the television play-by-play broadcaster for the Memphis Grizzlies, brings a unique perspective to the Board of the Making It Happen Foundation. Shortly after graduating from Notre Dame in 1986, Pete returned to campus to work for the Notre Dame Alumni Association. During his tenure, he founded the Notre Dame Alumni Community Service Program, the first such program in the nation. He worked with more than a hundred alumni clubs around the country on a “Universal Notre Dame Week of Service” to mark the University’s Sesquicentennial in 1992.

In one form or fashion, Pete has been broadcasting sporting events since 1979, including the NFL, NBA, AAA baseball and major college athletics as well as two Olympic Games for NBC Sports. Pete came to Memphis in 2004 as the radio voice of the Grizzlies, paired with Sean Tuohy as his broadcast partner. Now, Pete, along with Sean and the rest of the Tuohy family, look forward to Making It Happen for young people.
