Care bags were distributed to all 485 students at Evans Elementary. As a result of COVID-19, students’ schedules have been disrupted and they are home instead of in school. Unfortunately, this means their daily hygiene routines have also been altered. Students do things at school each day that we don’t even realize, like brushing their teeth! It is our hope that with these bags students are reminded they are deserving, valued and loved, as well as receive much needed items.
The bags included toilet paper, paper towels, snacks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap and washcloths. In addition, the older students will receive deodorant and the older girls will receive feminine products. Also included are snacks and age appropriate flash cards.
