Project Details
We continue to invest in Evans Elementary and we continue to see results. Each year we host a Christmas party to model kindness and giving, as well as celebrate the Season! THIS year our party was really a full DAY. The day began with a greeting from Memphis Grizzlies Drum line welcoming the kids into school, followed by Chick Fil A breakfast for every student and teacher, plus visits to the classrooms by Air Grizz. At lunch time, the students entered the cafeteria through a fun snow machine and enjoyed pizza. Every child then went through the candy bar and selected treats for their goodie bag. Next was meeting Santa followed with a gift for every student. We had the wonderful voices of Angel Street Memphis spreading Christmas cheer. In the words of one student, “It is the BEST day of my life!” Kindness and generosity were modeled for them and that continues throughout the school!
